About the Designer

My name is Irene Dwyer and I am the founder of Comforts of Home, a family-operated business.  My sister Trudy introduced me to candle designing five years ago.  She had been designing gel candles several years before and was always telling me about her creations.  I finally gave in to my curiosity and asked her what "these gel candles were all about.  How could you see into a candle?"  I asked.  She taught me how to create my first gel candles and the rest is history.  Comforts of Home was established in 2003 and I have since introduced soy candles, and bath and body products to my product line.  I enjoy experimenting and designing with candle gel and the flexibility it allows!  My clients are the inspiration of my designs!  Please visit my photo gallery!
